Alloy cam buckle is a mechanical strap fastening device made of lightweight and high-strength materials such as zinc alloy and aluminum alloy, designed for cargo tying scenarios. Its core function is to quickly tighten the belt body (such as nylon webbing, polyester tying strap) through the buckle self-locking mechanism to ensure that the cargo is placed firmly during transportation and does not fall easily. It is suitable for trucks, trailers, roof racks and outdoor equipment fixing scenarios.
1. Materials and processes: balance between lightness and high strength
Comparison of characteristics of different materials
Zinc alloy-
Advantages: high fluidity and easy casting, surface can be electroplated or sprayed, corrosion-resistant, suitable for special environments.
Strength: tensile strength ≥220MPa, suitable for medium-sized cargo with a load of ≤500kg.
Aluminum alloy-
Advantages: lightweight (density 2.7g/cm³), strong fatigue resistance, durable and wear-resistant, suitable for high-frequency use.
Strength: tensile strength ≥310MPa, load capacity can reach more than 800kg.
Surface treatment process——
Galvanizing/nickel plating: used for sea transportation or humid environment, the anti-rust life is increased by 3 times (such as hot-dip galvanizing layer thickness ≥ 80μm).
Anodizing (aluminum alloy treatment): forming a 10-25μm oxide film with a hardness of HV400, and the wear resistance is increased by 50%, greatly improving the service life.
2. Buckling mechanism: self-locking principle and ease of operation
Eccentric cam design: the cam buckle adopts an eccentric wheel + corrugated groove structure design
Tightening process: when pulling the webbing, the eccentric wheel rotates to press the belt body, and the corrugated groove increases the friction coefficient to 0.3-0.4, achieving "tighter and tighter".
Self-locking effect: after stopping the force, the eccentric wheel automatically gets stuck due to gravity and friction angle to prevent loosening and achieve self-locking.
With its core advantages such as lightweight, high strength and corrosion resistance, the alloy cam buckle has become the preferred choice for general lashing solutions from daily logistics to industrial transportation. Its self-locking mechanism and safety design ensure the stable fixation of goods in complex environments. Users can make reasonable choices based on load requirements, environmental conditions and frequency of use, and follow maintenance specifications to extend service life.
